  Amity Concept E21 Stem

This is concept E21. The purpose of this exercise is to design a super-sleek, short, front loading stem, with twin rear pinch bolts (as this is well proven). The catch is that it must be lighter than other stems on the market which utilise huge cuts outs to save weight. We think we have cracked it, but we are not going to tell you how.

We need your comments either on the blog, facebook or on youtube. Watch the video & let us know what you think, after all you are hopefully going to be our customer

  6 QUESTIONS 4: Damo Wilkinson

This weeks 6 questions are fired at Amity's brand new flo rider Damion Wilkinson. Every week we hope to bring you new questions to different riders to help you get to know the team a little bit better.

Amitybikeco 6 questions 4:

‘Damo Wilkinson’

You were recently asked to join the amitybikeco flow team. How did it feel to get the offer & what do you hope to get out of being part of such a new company?

Yeah man I’m stoked to be offered a chance to ride for a new up-n-coming company. I was lucky to get the offer at the right time as my bike was starting to get a bit haggard from having no job to replace stuff haha, but I’m stoked on my new bike now and think that there is a lot of good things to look forward to seeing from amity. I’m also really looking forward to the road trip to France that should be sick.

You’re part of the infamous crow trails scene in Melbourn England famous for Matt Priest, Bob Manchester & legendary edits from Dave King. Describe the summer with just 5 words.

Fires, Rad, Cider, Camp out, Derelict.

If you were stranded on a desert island that just happened to have the best set of trails in the world, a free bar/restaurant & 5-star hotel (with nightclub), explain who you would want with you & why? You can choose only 2 people.

hmmm that’s pretty hard. There are so many people I would want to have with me but I reckon Bob cus he’s rad to ride with and is always up for learning new stuff at the trails, and then I can use his id to get into the club ahah. And then probably Inch so that I can make bets with him (that he always loses) and make some money. haha and maybe to ride trails with.

Describe one really bad thing you have done in your life, that you are sooo not proud of?

Got points on my provisional driving licence which has now rinsed my insurance on my car which meant I had to sell the polo I had which was a 1.4 and buy a 1.0 Corsa. Mopeds are shit lol.

Yes, don’t talk to me about Mopeds, it’s a touchy subject, next question Describe one positive achievement that stands out in your life to date?

Becoming part of such a rad trails scene, that keeps getting better and better.

Your 1st name is Damien. If you could be compared to either of the following famous Damien’s, which one would it be & why?:

-Damien from Omen (the devil child) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Omen -Damien Rice http://www.damienrice.com/

hahaha apart from my name is spelt 'Damion' no one gets it right lol. no idea man don’t even know who Damien rice is haha.

Hmmm, good answer, no-one wants to admit to knowing who Damien Rice is.

Tune in next week for more ‘6 questions 4’

  amitybikes: 6 QUESTIONS 4

‘Adolfo Olivo’
Like a certain rather famous park rider, you are from Venezuela. Can you tell us how you came to be in the UK and when/where/why you started riding BMX?

Hahah yeah dhers sure is making a big name for Venezuela in bmx. I was pretty young when i left Venezuela, so cant really remember much apart from how unsafe it is over there most of my family have been held at gun point from car robberies and stuff like that and people would definitely jack your shoes if you were wearing anything else but sandals, guess my mum just had enough of it over there and decided to move to England so I wouldn’t get stabbed which was a pretty fair shout I think haha.

Your recent edit in which you credit amitybikeco, has been doing the rounds, clocked up some serious viewing figures and received critical acclaim. On the whole the vast majority of people have been really impressed by the thought, creativity and riding that went into your edit; at the same time a minority seem to hate for the sake of hating. How do ‘keyboard warriors’ make you feel?

I couldn’t give a f**k about haters. I ride because I enjoy it, and I have a sick group of friends to do it with and to be honest one good comment from them means more to me than a thousand haters,

If you could meet a ‘keyboard warrior’ face to face what would you do or say to educate them?

Probably tape there bike 20ft high to a lamp post and give them an atomic wedgy that what we usually do to salty people at my local skatepark

A lot of other riders say you have progressed real quick over the past year. What is your secret to getting stuff done and are you as efficient in other areas of your life?

Haha was that a subtle hint I detect there marc, I guess I owe that to the people I ride with people like jeffries as I always try and blag a lift with him when everyone goes to different places, plus hes always giving me props and trying to push me to try different stuff, ben for sorting me out on the team, my friend mark because its always good to watch him ride as he does some outlandish shit haha. Ben because iv known him for so long and we always rip it out of each other. Also long time friends like johnny who I used to ride street with back in the day. There is so many others but yeah there the ones that push me and get me stoked on riding. as for other parts of life if Im passionate towards it I will put in 100% I want to be an illustrator and get my clothing company off the ground but I do get easily distracted so some work can take a little longer than others

Amitybikeco has offered you the chance to travel with them on a road trip to Fise later this year. Will you be competing & what do you hope to get out of the experience?

Yeah I definitely be riding should be good fun. what do I hope to get out of the experience? Hopefully a massive hangover and a broken wrist from trying some stupid gap to flat hahaha, id be happy with that.

Finally… Do you have anything to do with some of the Random videos from Olivo Producciones that are sweeping youtube? Such as this example:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=njdwG9_mFuE&feature=related

bahah what the f**k is this sh*t looks like my aunt an uncle have started up a family band haha.
