‘Adolfo Olivo’ Like a certain rather famous park rider, you are from Venezuela. Can you tell us how you came to be in the UK and when/where/why you started riding BMX?
Hahah yeah dhers sure is making a big name for Venezuela in bmx. I was pretty young when i left Venezuela, so cant really remember much apart from how unsafe it is over there most of my family have been held at gun point from car robberies and stuff like that and people would definitely jack your shoes if you were wearing anything else but sandals, guess my mum just had enough of it over there and decided to move to England so I wouldn’t get stabbed which was a pretty fair shout I think haha.
Your recent edit in which you credit amitybikeco, has been doing the rounds, clocked up some serious viewing figures and received critical acclaim. On the whole the vast majority of people have been really impressed by the thought, creativity and riding that went into your edit; at the same time a minority seem to hate for the sake of hating. How do ‘keyboard warriors’ make you feel?
I couldn’t give a f**k about haters. I ride because I enjoy it, and I have a sick group of friends to do it with and to be honest one good comment from them means more to me than a thousand haters,
If you could meet a ‘keyboard warrior’ face to face what would you do or say to educate them?
Probably tape there bike 20ft high to a lamp post and give them an atomic wedgy that what we usually do to salty people at my local skatepark
A lot of other riders say you have progressed real quick over the past year. What is your secret to getting stuff done and are you as efficient in other areas of your life?
Haha was that a subtle hint I detect there marc, I guess I owe that to the people I ride with people like jeffries as I always try and blag a lift with him when everyone goes to different places, plus hes always giving me props and trying to push me to try different stuff, ben for sorting me out on the team, my friend mark because its always good to watch him ride as he does some outlandish shit haha. Ben because iv known him for so long and we always rip it out of each other. Also long time friends like johnny who I used to ride street with back in the day. There is so many others but yeah there the ones that push me and get me stoked on riding.as for other parts of life if Im passionate towards it I will put in 100% I want to be an illustrator and get my clothing company off the ground but I do get easily distracted so some work can take a little longer than others
Amitybikeco has offered you the chance to travel with them on a road trip to Fise later this year. Will you be competing & what do you hope to get out of the experience?
Yeah I definitely be riding should be good fun. what do I hope to get out of the experience?Hopefully a massive hangover and a broken wrist from trying some stupid gap to flat hahaha, id be happy with that.
Finally…Do you have anything to do with some of the Random videos from Olivo Producciones that are sweeping youtube? Such as this example:
